In Home Pet Sitting

$17 per visit *

When you travel for vacation or work, The Pet Depot provides one to three visits per day for your pets, each visit approximately 30 minutes in length. Visits are scheduled as Morning 7am-10am, Midday 12pm-3pm, and Evening 7pm-10pm. Your pet sitter will always leave you notes and a visit log to keep you informed of your pet's care and activities will you are away. You may also contact your pet sitter by email or phone 24 hours a day to check-in on your precious pets. Each in-home pet sitting visit includes any or all of the following services:

For your pet:

  • Follow your pet's customary diet and routine
  • Fresh food and water
  • Playtime
  • Exercise
  • Dog Walking/Yard access
  • Cat litter changed/scooped
  • Dispense medications
  • Cage cleaning
  • Pick up/clean after pets as needed
  • Brushing
  • Petting, tummy rubs, and chin scratches
  • Provide pet owners with updates as often as preferred
  • Provide lots of love, hugs and kisses, and attention
  • Provide time, care, & even a safety check in making sure your pet remains well and keeps "out of trouble" in the house

For your home:

  • Collect the mail
  • Bring in the newspaper
  • Alternate lights
  • Adjust blinds
  • Water plants
  • Adjust thermostat
  • Trash day service
  • Fill outdoor bird feeders
  • Security check of home

The Pet Depot Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Service provides pet sitting services for Lewisville, Highland Village, Hickory Creek, and Flower Mound. I service 75077, 75028, 75057, and 75065.

*On occasion, a Client may have several pets or special needs pets that require a longer visit, over the normal 30 minute stay. In that case, the visit fee will increase to reflect the additional time needed to properly care for all pets. Also, there may be an a increase in the visit fee for those Clients located further than a 4 mile radius from the pet sitter's home. If there is a need for an increased visit fee, The Pet Depot Pet Sitting and Dog Walking Service will discuss this with the Client during the initial consultation.

Daily Dog Walking

1-2 dogs: $15-$17 per dog walk

Do you work long hours? Do you have a puppy? Daily dog walking is the perfect service for a dog in need of midday relief, fresh air, and TLC. This service is specifically for use for when a pet owner is away at work and understands that their dog or puppy needs a midday potty break by a professional dog walker. The Pet Depot provides dog walks for approximately 20 minutes in length between the hours of 11am-2pm. Pooper scoop and disposal is completed to keep your neighborhood up to proper cleanliness code. Midday dog walking services is offered only to the 75077 zip code area and to specific apartment communities in the Lewisville area. Special arrangements may be made with The Pet Depot to provide dog walking services for those pet owners who live outside this service area, work on the weekends, or have varying work schedules.

New Clients 

When you first contact The Pet Depot, you may reach us via email, phone, or by completing the online Reservation Form. You will be contacted promptly so we can arrange a complimentary in-home consultation. Submitting the Reservation Form is only a request for service and a consultation, not a confirmation of service. Please allow at least 30 minutes for the initial consultation, which enables The Pet Depot to:

  • Meet you and your pets
  • Complete the client and pet profile sheets
  • Get detailed information about caring for your pets and your home
  • Review policies and services
  • Arrange your pet sitting schedule and services needed
  • Complete the Service Agreement and Veterinary Release Form
  • Pick up a house key

This initial consultation also enables you to meet the pet sitter and ask any questions you may have about the services provided.

Reservations are booked based on availability so submit the online Reservation Form as far in advance as possible. Do not assume that completing the Reservation Form or sending an email to The Pet Depot is a guarantee of availability or booking of service. After a service request is made, you will always receive an email confirmation verifying the dates of service, payment, and policy agreement. You are expected to reply to the email within 48 hours confirming your acceptance of the content. The Pet Depot is highly organized using both the client consultation and your email confirmation to maintain accurate records and diligent care for each client and their pets. All that is left is for you to relax during your time away knowing that your pets are in the finest of care with The Pet Depot.

Existing Clients 

You must always complete the online Reservation Form every time you want to schedule a new service with The Pet Depot. There will not be a need for another consult as the information obtained during the initial consultation, including the Service Agreement and Veterinary Release Form, is permanently kept on file. You will simply receive an email confirmation verifying the dates of service and payment arrangements. You are expected to reply to the email within 48 hours confirming your acceptance of the content.

Reservations are booked based on availability so submit the online Reservation Form as far in advance as possible. Do not assume that completing the Reservation Form or sending an email to The Pet Depot is a guarantee of availability or booking of service. After a service request is made, you will always receive an email confirmation.

The Pet Depot Policies 
  • Consultations: A free consultation is conducted for all new Clients prior to the start of service. This consult allows Pet Depot to become familiar with you and your pets as well as to set up your customized pet sitting service. It is at this time that Pet Depot will complete the Client and Pet Profile Forms containing all the information for the care of your pet(s) and your home. At the end of the consult, you will provide Pet Depot with a key to your home and make payment arrangements.
  • Visiting Hours: Pet Depot provides one to three visits per day, each approximately 30 minutes. Visits are scheduled as Morning 7am-10am , Midday 11am-2pm , and Evening 5pm-9pm. Midday dog walking services are provided 11am-2pm and offered only to the 75077 zip code area or other areas specified by Pet Depot.
  • Confirmation of Service: Shortly after the consultation (new Clients) or Pet Depot's receipt of your reservation (existing Clients), you will receive an email verifying the dates of service and payment amount. Client is expected to reply to the email within 48 hours confirming your acceptance of the service. Pet Depot is highly organized using both the Client consultation and your email confirmation to maintain accurate records and diligent care for each Client and their pets. Do not assume that completing the online Reservation Form or sending an email directly to Pet Depot is a guarantee of availability or booking of service. After a service request is made, you will always receive an email confirmation.
  • Pet Sitting Payment: All cash, money order, or credit card payments are due prior to or on the first day of each service. All Check payments are due 7 business days prior to the first day of each service.
  • Dog Walking Payment: All dog walking service payments made by either cash, money order, or credit card are due at the start of the service and on a bi-weekly schedule thereafter. All check payments are due 7 business days prior to the above mentioned schedule.
  • Changes or Cancellations: Please provide at least 48 hours notice on any changes or cancellations in service. No refunds are given on cancellations or on early returns. However, a credit for the amount will be applied to a future service with Pet Depot . For scheduled services that include a major holiday (New Year's Eve/Day, Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Spring Break, Labor Day, Thanksgiving), no refunds or credits are given if Client cancels within 48 hours of the service start date.
  • Late Fees: A charge of $20 per 30 days will be incurred on accounts not paid by the due date. Checks returned by the bank will incur a $30 return check fee.
  • House Key: Pet Depot will collect a key to Client's home during the initial consultation. It is suggested that Client allow Pet Depot to retain the key safely in our possession for future pet sitting needs. However, the key may also be left at your home on the last day of service, mailed to Client ($5 service charge), or returned to Client personally ($10 service charge). If the key is returned to Client, there will be a $10 service charge each time Pet Depot makes a trip to Client's home to pick up the key.
  • Checking on Your Pet: You may contact Pet Depot daily, via phone or email, to check on your pet. For any emergency or urgent needs, please call 214-535-6038 (mobile). I will respond to any calls or emails as soon as I am able.
  • Destruction by Pets : As a rule, most damage to property, furniture, and carpets is done by pets that get lonely and bored. Most owners don't know in advance what will provoke such actions by their pet(s). Pet Depot makes all attempts to limit any destruction by pets of household goods. If, for example, your pet chews on a piece of furniture, we will attempt to remove the attraction. If the problem continues, Pet Depot cannot empty your pet's entire area of attractive nuisances! Pet Depot cannot, therefore, be responsible or liable for damage done by Client's pet(s) to Client's home. Pet Depot will use common sense and attempt to limit/restrict the bad behavior of pets.
  • Arriving Home: Client is required to contact Pet Depot via email or phone as soon as they arrive home so Pet Depot knows Client is resuming responsibility for his/her pet(s). Doing so will avoid any additional charges for unnecessary visits to your home. Client also agrees to notify Pet Depot of any concerns within 24 hours of returning home.
  • Damages: Pet Depot is not responsible for damages or loss to your home beyond the control of the pet sitter (I.E. leaks, electrical problems, acts of nature, burglary). In such situations, Pet Depot will make every attempt to contact Client before taking action to resolve the problem. All repairs and related charges will be the responsibility of Client and will be reimbursed within 15 days to Pet Depot upon return to your home.
  • Client Access Permitted to Others: Pet Depot accepts no responsibility for the security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to Client's home, or if the home is not properly secured. All other individuals granted rights to visit the home by Client will leave a log of their visit(s).
  • Unsecured Pets: Pet Depot will not be held liable for the event of illness, injury, loss, or death of those pets allowed to free-roam outside or have unsupervised access to the outdoors. It is strongly advised that all pets wear an ID tag with Client's contact information and that they remain inside the home for their own safety and welfare.
  • Pet Proofing: It is Client's sole responsibility to pet proof any areas of the home and/or property to which the pet has access. This includes thoroughly inspecting fences, gates, latches, doors, and other devices meant to keep your pet inside of or away from areas of the home/yard. The pet sitter does not assume and has no liability for any injuries the pet may sustain while in its own home/property.
  • Vaccinations: Client understands and agrees that by leaving their pet(s) in Pet Depot's care that Pet Depot has relied on Client's representations that their pet(s) has/have been vaccinated and is/are in good health. Client agrees to keep their pet(s) current on ALL vet recommended vaccinations as long as Client is receiving services from Pet Depot. Client further acknowledges that any history or tendency by their pet(s) towards straying, fighting, biting, destructive behavior, or property damage has been fully disclosed to Pet Depot.
  • Damage by Pet to Others: Client will be responsible for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to Pet Depot pet sitter or other persons, by Client's pet(s). Client agrees to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Pet Depot pet sitter, in the event of a claim by any person injured by Client's pet(s). In the event that another animal is bit by Client's pet(s) or exposed to any disease or ailment from Client's pet(s), it will be Client's responsibility to pay all medically related costs and damages incurred by the "Victim" pet(s) owners.
  • Cleaning Up After Pets : Pet Depot will always make every effort to clean up after Client's pet(s) as we feel that cleanliness is extremely important to your pet's good health. Pet Depot will sweep/vacuum the litter box area and high trafficked areas of the house, wipe your dog's paws on rainy days, and clean up dog "messes" when on walks. Pet Depot will also rinse all pet bowls and used utensils daily and keep your pet's eating area clean. Rest assured that any "accidents" that are discovered will be cleaned to the best of our ability on each visit. Pet Depot cannot be held responsible for damage to flooring or household items caused by Client's pet(s) urinating, defecating, or regurgitating on such items. Every effort will be made to cleanup accidents using the cleaning supplies Client provides.
  • Emergency: If Client's pet(s) become ill while under the care of Pet Depot , Client authorizes the representative of Pet Depot to transport ill pet(s) to their veterinarian (or one who is available) if this is needed in his/her best judgment. Every effort will be made by Pet Depot to contact Client prior to obtaining medical care for Client's pet(s). However, if Client is not reachable, Client authorizes said representative of Pet Depot to approve any emergency treatment recommended by the veterinarian (unless otherwise stated in the Veterinarian Release Form) and agrees to pay within 15 days of service for any charges incurred. Client agrees to be financially responsible for all fees for tending to emergency/veterinary care and for the time expense of Pet Depot at the rate of $25 an hour. Client releases Pet Depot from any liabilities related to transportation, treatment, and expense of pet(s). Pet Depot highly recommends that clients notify their veterinarian of having a pet sitting service by Pet Depot . Pet Depot also highly recommends that clients keep their credit card or blank check on file with their vet.
  • Pet Photos: Pet Depot is granted permission by Client to take pictures of Client's pet(s) for sole use by Pet Depot.

But, she is so calm with the cats that they actually come up to her. She not only took care of their food, etc. but also checked up on them and made sure that they were okay.
